Our Commitment to you - Food for Life

Our Commitment to you - Red Tractor

Back in August of 2013 we were awarded the prestigious Bronze Food for Life Catering Mark by the Soil Association for the contract here at Solent University. You've seen the Food for Life stamp on our Bowl menus but what does it actually mean?

We work with food that is in season and includes local ingredients. With dishes such as the Hake with Lime Potatoes or the Potato, Pea & Mint Frittata, you'll know that we do not serve any endangered fish and that all of our eggs are from free range hens.

With dishes such as the Aubergine stuffed Cinnamon Lamb or the Stilton and Broccoli Quiche, you'll know that what we provide you with at lunchtime is freshly prepared.

With dishes such as the Oriental Belly Pork with Honey or the Eastern Chicken Hotpot, you'll know that all of our meat can be traced back to the farm.

With dishes such as the Vegetable Moussaka or the Beef Lasagne, you'll know that what you are eating is free from nasty additives and trans fats.
