Health & Vitality

A students brain is composed of 100 billion brain cells - aka neurons - that drive thinking and learning. Neurons need fuel: good fats, protein, complex carbohydrates, micronutrients, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and, of course, water. These nutrients are used to drive the learning functions of neurons and a diet short of these makes a poor student.Food providers in this sector, therefore, have arguably a greater responsibility than any other sphere of the foodservice industry to provide healthy, nutritional food.

On Thursday January 28 we attended the 2016 Health & Vitality Honours in the Long Room at Lords Cricket Ground. The Honours, now in it's fourth year, kick-started what is being coined as 'Green 2016' by recognising the exceptional strides the foodservice and hospitality Industry has made to ensure positive healthy impacts.

It was an exceptional evening and we were very proud to walk away with the Health & Vitality in Education Honours which we won for the Honest Cafe & it's positive impact in offering healthy vending options and providing healthy options where there were previously very few.
