Food Champion // An Introduction to Mark Davidson

The awards, which took place at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London, celebrate the determination and passion of individuals who have worked with the Soil Association to promote the Catering Mark in their organisations. The Catering Mark is open to all food providers and, awarded at three levels (Bronze, Silver and gold), it recognises caterers who are taking steps to improve their food, by meeting standards on freshness, sustainability and animal welfare.

So what is a Catering Mark Champion?
He or she is someone that upholds the ethos and the values of the Catering Mark, and has helped to make a positive difference to the food they serve and that is exactly what Mark has achieved. Now in 2015 our attention turns to a possible Gold Award in July and as always, we will keep you posted.

Also, did you know The Free From Eating Out Awards took place last November in which we were commended for our efforts and the round winner's logos are a widely recognized Mark of Excellence among allergic, coeliac and 'freefrom' customers.
