Bilal Eido // Global Chef 2016

It's that time of the year again when the Global Chef rolls into town and this year we're going to be sampling the amazing flavours of the UAE, coming to us on the 9th March.

Wondering what's on the menu? Well here it is..
  • Lentil Soup
  • Kuwaiti Chicken Biryani served with Fattoush
  • Kofta Bil Siniya served with Rice & Fattoush
  • Fried Fish (MSC Cod) served with Rice & Fattoush
  • Vegetable Salona served with Rice & fattoush
  • Um Ali (dessert)
We also have our own Global Chef on site, our executive chef, Mel went to the USA in 2014 to take a taste of the UK to our friends across the water.

The day saw our Global Chef this year, Bilal Eido come to the university to help our staff cook and serve food in The Dock. The event offered a range of UAE, mouth-watering flavours as made in the kitchen by Bilal himself and our team of chefs. You may have heard of Global Chef from previous years, but if not then Global chef is a yearly event run by Sodexo that brings chefs from different countries to share their skills with the culinary team. They make and serve meals from their own countries to the customers.

After hours of preparation, the food was served in time for lunch. Full of eye-catching colours, it looked great and was served successfully in The Dock. The menu consisted of Kuwaiti Chicken Biryani, Kofta Bin Siniya, Fried Fish, Vegetable Salona and for dessert, the tasty Um Ali.

The beautiful arrangement of the dishes drew both students and staff to admire it and convinced them to have a taste. Along with staff, Bilal served his food to the customers, giving them a real taste of the United Arab Emirates.
