Sodexo staff from Southampton Solent University shone at the Sodexo Star Awards 2013 in London. It was an evening of wins for our Sodexo staff as we claimed three awards throughout the night. The Star Awards ceremony is held once a year to recognise the talent, dedication and loyalty of certain members of staff and teams across Sodexo.
This year over 600 Sodexo employees descended on Westminster Bridge Hotel in London to enjoy a three course meal while waiting to find out who had won each of the prestigious awards. Group Support Manager, Dawn Gillespie walked away with not one but TWO of the awards in the education sector. Snatching up the Star Business Manager Award and the Better Tomorrow Plan.
The Better Tomorrow Plan goes to an individual who shows outstanding dedication to making an impact on Diversity, Inclusion and the Environment within Sodexo, their organisation or the local community. As the Star Business Manager, Dawn showed herself to be the best example of Sodexo in education by demonstrating the highest standard of client and customer satisfaction.
The award for Service Catering Excellence is a team effort award and for the second time we have won the award nationally and for the third time in the education sector. This award is presented to the unit delivering an outstanding performance in catering. This includes showing excellence in areas such as customer service, catering service delivery and high administrative performance.
All of the staff here at Solent are proud of these achievements and we will continue to strive to deliver excellent service and maintain the standards we have set across all departments throughout the whole of 2014 and beyond.
