Recycling Coffee

Used coffee grounds/grinds can be used as cellulite treatment, skin exfoliation or even to make homemade candles, but we're going to focus on a more traditional use for them - in the garden. Sam Holden and the team at Test Park have recently started to recycle coffee grounds. I'll let Sam explain what she has been up to and how it's such a great way to breath life into your garden.

Food Champion // An Introduction to Mark Davidson

The awards, which took place at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London, celebrate the determination and passion of individuals who have worked with the Soil Association to promote the Catering Mark in their organisations. The Catering Mark is open to all food providers and, awarded at three levels (Bronze, Silver and gold), it recognises caterers who are taking steps to improve their food, by meeting standards on freshness, sustainability and animal welfare.

Swanky Franks has had a makeover. We have extended our burger offer to 7 delicious options as well as introducing some exciting new sides.

Global Chef 2015

Coming to The Dock on March 12th is Swedish chef, Daniel Leidstedt. Daniel is a restaurant manager at Restaurant City Hall in Gavle, Sweden. It has become a first choice for lunch and entertainment for both politicians and senior officials since 2004.

On Monday the 19th of January we launched our first ever Happy New You competition. A large number of people entered both online & from our station in the Dock restaurant as both students & SU staff alike competed to win our amazing new prize.
